Using 3D CAD Software for Engineering Design

This project was  created for the class "Curriculum and Instruction in Technology Education." I was instructed to create a three to eight day unit for a class of my choosing, and so chose an upper level CAD class. The unit plan also contains a electronic visual presentation made in Microsoft PowerPoint, and a Technology Learning Activity with student handouts which were both created as assignments prior to this unit plan. Through the creation of this unit, I was able to incorporate a number of Pennsylvania standards both in technology and engineering education, and a number of core content areas. I was also able to incorporate an expansion of the unit which included a number of different technology and engineering courses to act as a capstone course, in addition to incorporating other content areas, specifically math and physics, and the Engineering by Design curriculum.
